 If you want a smoke free Kansas, then start at home. Contact your local state representative and let them know you want a smoke free state. They represent YOU.
 
We need the help of Kansans, like you, to contact your state representative in support of a comprehensive, smoke free, clean indoor air bill would make indoor public places and workplaces smoke-free, including bars, restaurants, and other venues where we all work and play. 
 


By taking just 5 minutes of your time, you can help TODAY.
 
      Call or email your state representative in the Kansas legislature.  Tell them that you support a comprehensive Clean Indoor Air Law in Kansas that protects all workers and patrons from the harmful effects of secondhand smoke.
 

             Here are a few talking points for your reference:

  • Share your story: Tell your elected official why you care about this issue and would like to see a comprehensive clean indoor air law enacted in Kansas
  • Everyone has the right to breathe clean indoor air and work in a smoke-free environment
 
  • ·         Clean Indoor Air laws help to improve health while reducing health care costs

 
Meeting in person is best. Pull together a small group of neighbors, friends or like-minded folks and ask for a 5 to 10 minute meeting. What’s your story? How has cancer and tobacco related illnesses affected your life.

                If you have not already done so, be sure to sign up for the Clean Air Kansas email lists. We will send you email update about both state smoke free activity and events in your local community or region.
                               
 
Spread the word
               
                Make sure that your friends, family, neighbors, school, church, and everyone else knows about Clean Air Kansas and making Kansas a smoke free state. According to a recent survey, over 70% of Kansans want to live in a smoke free state. We need to make those voices heard.
