Lt. Governor Troy Findley and the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) unveiled a new web site, www KSsmokefree.org, on May 3rd, 2010 to assist businesses and the public with implementation of the Indoor Clean Air Act.

The web site provides information on the new public smoking law that goes into effect July 1, 2010.  The site also contains downloadable no smoking signs for businesses, frequently asked questions, a business tool kit and free resources to help Kansans stop smoking.

The site serves as a central resource in the state for information about the new law.

"By working together to implement the law, we can make our state a safer, healthier place for all Kansans," said Roderick Bremby, KDHE Secretary. "We hope the web site, www.KSsmokefree.org will help businesses make a smooth transition to a smoke free Kansas."

Kansas is the 35th state to pass a statewide law to provide smoke free public places and workplaces.
